Alpha Prep Meets Tim Peake

Below are some photos from the Space conference at Portsmouth University.

We met Tim Peake, watched a special lecture by him, saw many amazing  science projects and had a really fun day.

British Astronaut Tim Peake pictured with school children during the UK Space Agency Schools Conference hosted by the University of Portsmouth at the Guildhall in the city. The conference celebrated the work of over a million UK school students inspired by Peake's Principia mission, which saw the flight dynamics and evaluation graduate spend more than six months on board the International Space Station. Youngsters had the chance to present their work through talks and exhibitions to experts from the UK Space Agency, European Space Agency (ESA), partner organisations and the space sector. Most also had the chance to meet Tim. Picture date Wednesday 2nd November, 2016. Picture by Christopher Ison for the University of Portsmouth. Remember the school rules

  1. Be Kind
  2. Do not mention anyone’s names including your own.

Comment Help

Remember, your comments are reflective comments just like your smiley face comments at school. You can share what you’ve learnt, what you enjoyed and ask any questions you may have. Also, don’t forget to write full sentences with the correct punctuation!

A bad example: ‘I’ve learnt loads, that was great’

A good example: ‘I’ve learnt that the Sun is in the centre of our solar system and that it is really big’

Never Use a Full Name

Use other names, but nothing silly as this name appears for everyone to see. Names that are full names or silly names will not be posted. Use abbreviations like   Mr G or Miss P or your initials will do.
